Investing Locally in Safe, Modern Schools

The San Mateo-Foster City School District is proud to offer a high-quality, well-rounded education rooted in academic achievement, equity, and wellness. From strong STEM programs and College & Career Ready Labs to a dedicated team of educators, we’re committed to preparing students for bright futures.

Modern Classrooms, Safer Schools, Teacher Housing

Core Bond Goals

  • Health & Safety: Modernizing fire alarms, roofs, and windows to ensure safe, dry, and secure facilities.
  • Academic Excellence: Maximizing natural daylight to improve student focus, and introducing flexible furniture to support collaborative, project-based learning.
  • Future-Ready Facilities: Constructing new buildings where older spaces can no longer support modern curriculum delivery.
  • Staff Stability: Investing in workforce housing to overcome regional affordability challenges and retain high-quality teachers.

But to deliver on that promise, we must ensure our schools are safe, up-to-date, and equipped to meet the needs of today’s learners. That’s why the Board of Trustees approved Resolution No. 06/25-26, ordering an election for the November 3, 2026 ballot. We’re exploring local funding solutions that reflect our shared commitment to students, families, and staff.
