Fostery City, CA - The San Mateo-Foster City School District wishes to announce that Board Trustee Noelia Corzo officially resigned from her position as a board trustee, effective December 31, 2022. She recently joined the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, representing District 2. Her resignation creates an at-large vacancy with the term set to expire in 2024 on the San Mateo-Foster City School District Board of Trustees.

At the January 26, 2023, Regular Meeting of the Board, the district will propose the filling of said vacancy by provisional appointment. At this meeting, the Board of Trustees will decide whether to move forward with a provisional appointment and potentially adopt a resolution to do so.

In such a scenario, the district would publicly promote the process, create an online application, and establish deadlines for interested applicants to submit their paperwork. Interviews for the board vacancy would likely take place at the Regular Board Meeting held on February 23, 2023.

Please stay tuned for more information on this process and contact Superintendent Diego R. Ochoa at diegoochoa@smfc.k12.ca.us with any questions
