All classified positions require completion of a District application, including a copy of applicant’s high school diploma or equivalent, and appropriate testing.

TESTING INFORMATION

  • Most positions require testing.  Passing score is 70%.  At the end of each job description you will find the testing requirement for the position. Verification of high school diploma or GED or Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Testing is by appointment ONLY.  A district application (and typing certificate, if applicable) must be submitted before an appointment can be scheduled for testing.
  • Complete job descriptions are available at any job site or in the Human Resources Department.
  • Proof of citizenship or legal status will be required upon offer of employment.

Classified employees are represented by the California School Employees Association (CSEA) and may be eligible to participate in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS)

ACCOUNTANT

Salary Range 58 (Entry Level $32.60/hr)

Definition

To perform responsible technical/professional accounting and auditing duties in the maintenance of District categorical program accounts and other financial records to ensure that District financial statements, reports and records are accurate. Employees in the classification receive limited supervision within a broad framework of standard policies and procedures. This job class is responsible for exercising independent judgment and decision-making skills regarding standard accounting procedures for the District.

  • **Accounting degree or certificates equivalent to a College degree in accounting or related fields.
  • **At least five years of work experience related in accounting, preferable in the area of California School Finance.

 

BUiLDING TRADES WORKER

Salary Range 52 (Entry Level $26.32/hr)

  • 1 Position – 8 hrs/day (Maintenance & Operations)

Definition

Under general supervision, to perform a variety of semiskilled, unskilled, and limited skilled general facilities repair and maintenance work; and to perform related work as required.

CUSTODIAN – NIGHT

Salary Range 46 (Entry Level $22.65/hr)

Definition

Under supervision, to keep assigned buildings, classrooms, and office spaces clean and orderly; to perform custodial tasks in the care of floors, furniture, walls, and equipment; to perform minor building and grounds maintenance and general gardening work, to operate small power custodial and grounds equipment; and to perform related work as required.

FINANCIAL FACILITIES ANALYST

Salary Range 60 (Entry Level $32.15/hr)

Definition

Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Financial Facilities Analyst performs responsible technical and professional fiscal accounting and auditing functions for the District’s Measure L and other Facilities related accounts and other financial records; to ensure that District financial statements, reports, and records are accurate. Employees in this classification receive limited supervision within a broad framework of standard policies and procedures. GROUNDSKEEPER

Salary Range 46 (Entry Level $22.65/hr, moves after 1 year to Sr. Groundskeeper Range 47)

Definition

Under supervision, to perform varied landscape, irrigation and hardscape maintenance and construction work; to operate powered grounds equipment, such as edgers, push mowers, small riding mowers, trucks, and trailers; to lean to operate large gang mowers, tractors and tractor attachments, and to perform related work as required.

DEFINITION

Under general supervision, to assist teacher in planning, supervision, curriculum development and classroom arrangement, organization and maintenance; to provide instructional support and learning enrichment, using developmentally appropriate practices and materials; to monitor child safety, perform housekeeping functions, and assist in the physical care of feeding of children; and to perform related work as required.

PRESCHOOL TEACHER

Salary Range 50 (Entry Level $ 25.00)

Definition

Under general supervision of the Principal on Special Assignment, to plan and implement high quality preschool learning and enrichment experiences for the preschool aged children in a safe and welcoming learning environment; exercise lead supervision over assigned assistants; maintain official documents and records; assess and guide each child’s learning; communicate with parents: participate in professional development activities; articulate and collaborate with kindergarten teachers; and to perform related work as assigned.

  • **Valid Children’s Center Permit issued by the State of California; or possession of a current and valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with appropriate age level endorsement issued by CDA National Credentialing Program.

SCHOOL OPERATIONS TEAM LEADER

Salary Range 48  (Entry Level $23.83)

Definition

Under general supervision, to coordinate daily school cleaning, repair, activity set-up, safety inspections, and security activities with the site principal, to keep buildings, grounds, and office space clean and orderly; to perform custodial, storekeeping, and light grounds and building maintenance tasks in the service of a school; to lead a small crew of custodians; and to perform related work as required.

UTILITY WORKER

Definition

Under direction, to serve as the administrative secretary to the school principal, to lead the office support team in the coordination of service flow, communication, and processes in a school office; to provide a wide range of information to students, staff, parents and the public; to maintain varied administrative and student records and prepare reports; to relieve the administrator of responsible administrative detail; to administer first aid; and to perform related work as required. BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST (BCBA)

Definition

The District is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who is committed to supporting students who exhibit academic, social and behavioral challenges in collaboration with families, teachers, instructional aides, administrators and other district staff. The BCBA will provide support to students with a focus on identifying skills necessary to achieve social competence in the school setting while preventing and addressing challenging behaviors.

Qualifications:Education/Training/Experience

  • Five or more years of professional experience providing behavioral support and social skills training to students in a special education program

Definition

The District is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to work under the guidance and oversight of the classroom teacher and the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BSBA) to support students with both academic and behavioral needs which may include modifying curriculum, teaching and reinforcing replacement behaviors, managing difficult behaviors and facilitating students with peer interactions as appropriate to the student’s Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training/Experience

  • Minimum of Associate degree or equivalent;
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience working with students in a special education program
  • Must pass district instructional aide exam (waived if applicant has 48 college credits)
  • Must maintain current Safety Care certification

SCHOOL COMMUNITY WORKER 

Salary Range 42 (Entry Level $ 20.53/hr)

Definition

Under general supervision, to identify at-risk students with attendance, illness, emotional/social needs and problems; to develop working relationships with students, parents, community groups and social service agencies, to assist in resolving attendance and other problems that interfere with school success; to discuss school programs, attendance requirement, behavior problems, and available services with parents; and to perform related work as required.

Definition

Under general supervision, oversee daily site kitchen operations for the Child Nutrition Programs at an elementary school setting.  Participate in the preparation, cooking/heating and serving of hot and cold menu items to students and staff at an assigned elementary school site kitchen including but not limited to summer school and after school programs.  Maintain the kitchen and serving areas in a safe, clean and orderly condition; requisition, receive and store food and supplies; train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned staff and/or students; and to do related work as required.
