The District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) is a districtwide group that represents the voices of families of Multilingual Learners. DELAC advises the district on programs and services that support English Learners, ensuring that students receive equitable opportunities to succeed academically while also honoring their cultural and linguistic identities.

DELAC’s role includes reviewing and providing input on the district’s English Learner programs, reclassification criteria, parent engagement opportunities, and needs assessments. The committee helps ensure that families are informed about district goals, state requirements, and available resources, while also advocating for the academic achievement and overall well-being of Multilingual Learners.

Through DELAC, families, staff, and community members work together to strengthen home-school partnerships, celebrate linguistic and cultural diversity, and elevate the voices of parents as leaders in the district. By participating, families play a vital role in shaping decisions that directly impact English Learners across all schools.

The District English Learners Advisory Committees (DELAC) is comprised of representatives from each schools' English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC).

The Sanctuary Task Force’s mission is to create a safe and inclusive environment for families and students of all birthplaces and immigration status. Members are teachers, school staff, administrators, families.

The role of the Sanctuary Task Force is to:

1. Propose school protocols and systems responding to the needs of immigrant students and families.

2. Support school sites in establishing and nurturing a welcoming and inclusive culture where immigrant students and their families feel valued and supported.

3. Enhance partnerships with community-based organizations and legal organizations who provide resources & services for immigrant families.
