Workroom machines that need booklet making capability for add-alternate option: 6 Middle School and 1 DO machines = 7

● All Workroom machines should be the same model. If a location currently has two different models, please specify the equivalent faster model. Example: A site has a C6780i and a C8700i. Please quote the equivalent model comparable to the C8700i.

● All Workroom machines should have a high-capacity paper tray that can hold at least 3000 sheets of 8.5 x 11 paper. Example: Canon Paper Deck Unit-E1 equivalent.

● Please include an add-alternate cost option to add booklet-making (using 8.5 x 11 paper)  for one workroom machine at each of the middle school sites (7 machines). All other machines should include corner stapling and eco-stapling (staple-less stapling).

● Four (4) new machines are being requested. One (1) Office-type and three (3) workroom type.

2. What finishers are needed?

Existing copiers have:

3. Do the Print Shop machines need a card reader? No.
4. At Abbott Middle School, does the request for one booklet finisher mean the total number of booklet-capable machines would be eight—one at Abbott and seven at the elementary schools? Please include an add-alternate cost option to add booklet-making (using 8.5 x 11 paper)  for one workroom machine at each of the middle school sites (7 machines).
5. At Turnbull, the current setup includes one black-and-white and one color machine. The original request was for an additional color unit. Has that changed to a preference for two black-and-white machines and one color instead? Please quote a "workroom" type machine (see question 1).
6. What is defined as "booklet-making"?

Adding booklet-making should enable "saddle-stitching" and "paper folding" to make a booklet. Trimming is not required. 50 pages maximum.

7. The bid document has been updated. The price form has been updated to include a place for the add-alternate pricing option and a total base bid.
8.

Question 6 - "What is the Base model price, per month excluding tax?"

Does this refer to the main frame price or the total price of the main frame and accessories per unit?

Base model should be the cost of the machine without accessories. Similar to the cost of a car without any options added onto it.

Regarding the Print Shop B&W machines, please indicate the cost of each machine. Please follow the current specifications on those machines.
