INCOME ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES FOR FREE AND REDUCED-PRICE MEALS
The San Mateo-Foster City School District households can apply to obtain a status of eligibility for free and reduced-price meals which is not not used for meals since breakfast and lunch are offered at no cost to all students, but may qualify families for some benefits such as P-EBT, AP testing fees and bus passes discounts among others.

Effective July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2023, participants from households with incomes at or below the following levels may be eligible for free or reduced-price meals.
Note: The new income calculations are based on annual figures and the following formulas: Monthly = annual income divided by 12; Twice Per Month = annual income divided by 24; Every Two Weeks = annual income divided by 26; and Weekly = annual income divided by 52. All dollar amounts are rounded up to the next whole dollar.
Visit the Menus page, or follow the daily menu at the top of the home page.
Household size and income criteria are used to determine eligibility for free, reduced-price, or full-price meal benefits. Applications are available at each school office upon request, applications are also available at the District Office. To apply for free or reduced-price meal benefits, households must complete an application and return it to the school for processing. If during the year a household member becomes unemployed or if the household size increases, parents should contact Child Nutrition at (650) 312-1968 as such changes may make children eligible for benefits if the household’s income falls at or below eligibility levels.
