Family Center Furnishings - San Mateo Park
Project Status: Available
Project Overview
The San Mateo Park Family Center, located on the San Mateo Park Elementary School campus, provides essential services and resources to local families. The center offers multiple tiers of support, ensuring that families in need have access to vital supplies and assistance. Many of the families who rely on the Family Center come from diverse backgrounds and depend on its services for daily necessities. One of the center’s core services is its Community Closet, which provides essential items ranging from clothing, such as shirts and shoes, to personal care products like toothpaste and mouthwash. Recently established in a building that previously housed a preschool program, the Family Center currently lacks adequate furniture to support its operations effectively.
Lacking necessary furniture, the center is seeking a shelving unit for the Community Closet to properly display available supplies. The shelving must be deep enough to accommodate backpacks and pairs of shoes while ensuring ample space, as well as have cubby partitions for organization. Additionally, a closet structure is needed, complete with a closet rod for hanging clothes, as clothing is one of the most critical resources provided to families. For enhanced functionality, both the shelving unit and the closet should be equipped with swivel caster wheels to allow for easy mobility and adaptability within the space. These additions will significantly improve the San Mateo Park Family Center’s ability to serve its families more efficiently.
Below are images illustrating the designated area for these furnishings, along with sample reference photos.
