Planters - Borel

Project Status: Available

Project Overview

Borel's campus is currently adorned with approximately 20 old planter pots spread throughout its many halls. Over the years, these pots have sustained significant damage, as shown in Exhibit A, with visible holes and chipping. The plants within these pots are also dying due to a lack of water during the summer break when there is no one available to maintain them.

To revitalize the campus, Borel requests the construction of 12 new planter pots, with 4 pots designated for each of the 3 hallways. Each pot should be filled with drought-tolerant plants and the appropriate soil to ensure their survival during periods of limited care. For reference, the previous pots were 16 inches tall and 23 inches wide. Drainage holes should be drilled to allow rainwater to pass through and avoid water-logging the plants root system.

Suggestion: Consider designing the planter pots with a self-watering system to further enhance their sustainability and reduce the need for frequent watering.
