Project Career Map

Project Career Map_Webpage Banner

This groundbreaking program gives 5th–8th grade students the chance to explore science careers through university and college visits, industry field trips, and science camps. Middle schoolers also gain unique opportunities to connect with professionals in fields that match their personal interests, helping them imagine and plan for their futures.

What sets this project apart is that it begins with the students’ voices. At the start of the year, every student was surveyed about their interest in science and how they would like to learn about careers. From their responses, opportunities were tailored to reflect what matters most to them. Participation remains open—if a student decides at any point during the year that they would like to join, they simply complete the interest survey again through their classroom teacher or school counselor.
