Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) is a model for how schools are funded by the state of California. It allows districts more flexibility in how funds are spent but also requires the development of a Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP)  that links spending to specific district goals for student achievement.

Districts are held accountable to the specific ways in which they are spending money and how those decisions are improving student outcomes.
