CLASSIFIED VACANCIES

12 Months, 11 Months, and 10 Months per Year

All positions are open until filled unless a deadline is noted.

All classified positions require completion of a District application, including a copy of applicant’s high school diploma or equivalent, and appropriate testing.

TESTING INFORMATION

  • Most positions require testing.  Passing score is 70%.  At the end of each job description you will find the testing requirement for the position. Verification of high school diploma or GED or Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Testing is by appointment ONLY.  A district application (and typing certificate, if applicable) must be submitted before an appointment can be scheduled for testing.
  • Complete job descriptions are available at any job site or in the Human Resources Department.
  • Proof of citizenship or legal status will be required upon offer of employment.

Classified employees are represented by the California School Employees Association (CSEA) and may be eligible to participate in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS)

CUSTODIAN – NIGHT

Salary Range 46 (Entry Level $20.22/hr)

  • 1 position – 8 hrs/day (LEAD)

Definition

Under supervision, to keep assigned buildings, classrooms, and office spaces clean and orderly; to perform custodial tasks in the care of floors, furniture, walls, and equipment; to perform minor building and grounds maintenance and general gardening work, to

operate small power custodial and grounds equipment; and to perform related work as required.

PARA-EDUCATOR II –  LEAD TEACHER/ANNEX

Salary Range 43-46 (Entry Level $20.61/hr-$21.50/hr)

  • 1 position – 8 hrs/day, M-F 7-8:30am and 11:30am-6pm (Sunnybrae School)

Definition

Under general supervision, to plan and implement learning and enrichment experiences

for students; to provide for the physical care and safety of children’ to exercise lead supervision over assigned extended day program teachers and assistants; to maintain official documents and records; and to perform related work as assigned.

License required

-Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver’s License.

-Possession of a valid Children’ Center Permit issued by the state of California; or possession of a current and valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or completion of 12 college units in recreation, physical education, elementary education for early childhood development; or a teaching credential. Possession of a valid First Aid and CPR certification

OFFICE ASSISTANT

Salary Range 42 (Entry Level $19.55/hr)

Definition

Under supervision, to perform a variety of clerical work of moderate difficulty: to operate a typewriter and/or microcomputer at a working level; to have a high level of public contact; and to perform related work as required.

RECEPTIONIST / OFFICE ASSISTANT

Salary Range 42 (Entry Level $18.33/hr)

Definition

Under supervision, to serve as the primary personal and telephone receptionist for the District office; to receive and connect telephone calls, take messages, direct visitors and provide information to callers and visitors; to perform varied clerical work of average difficulty; and to perform related work as required.

Definition

Under the supervision of the assigned Administrator and under the professional direction of a licensed credentialed school nurse, a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) performs specialized physical health care services and procedures for medically fragile students.

ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST – FOOD SERVICEs

Salary Range 50 (Entry Level $23.84/hr)

  • 1 position – 6.5 hrs/day (Central Kitchen, Child Nutrition Department)

Definition

To perform routine to responsible clerical accounting functions in support of district programs and/or fiscal services. Employees in this classification receive close supervision within a framework of well-defined policies and procedures. This job class performs routine to responsible clerical accounting and support services within an assigned program(s) and/or district accounting area(s). This job class requires accuracy, attention to detail as well as independent judgment and problem-solving. The Accounting Specialist - Food Service job class performs routine clerical accounting functions at an entry level of classification.

Under general supervision, to provide specialized instructional, behavioral, physical, and medical assistance to exceptional students with severe handicaps; to operate a specialized learning center for special needs students; to provide instructional record keeping support; to perform routine clerical duties; and to perform related work as required. Assist student in toileting and personal hygiene, change soiled clothing, and remind student to use bathroom.  CPR and First Aid required.
