All classified positions require completion of a District application, including a copy of applicant’s high school diploma or equivalent, and appropriate testing.

TESTING INFORMATION

  • Most positions require testing.  Passing score is 70%.  At the end of each job description you will find the testing requirement for the position. Verification of high school diploma or GED or Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Testing is by appointment ONLY.  A district application (and typing certificate, if applicable) must be submitted before an appointment can be scheduled for testing.
  • Complete job descriptions are available at any job site or in the Human Resources Department.
  • Proof of citizenship or legal status will be required upon offer of employment.

Classified employees are represented by the California School Employees Association (CSEA) and may be eligible to participate in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS)

Definition

Definition

Under supervision, to keep assigned buildings, classrooms, and office spaces clean and orderly; to perform custodial tasks in the care of floors, furniture, walls, and equipment; to perform minor building and grounds maintenance and general gardening work, to operate small power custodial and grounds equipment; and to perform related work as required.

FINANCIAL FACILITIES ANALYST

Salary Range 60 (Entry Level $26.54/hr)

Definition

Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Financial Facilities Analyst performs responsible technical and professional fiscal accounting and auditing functions for the District’s Measure L and other Facilities related accounts and other financial records; to ensure that District financial statements, reports, and records are accurate.  Employees in this classification receive limited supervision within a broad framework of standard policies and procedures.  This position is responsible for exercising independent judgment and decision making regarding standard accounting procedures for the District.

Definition

Under the supervision of the Director of Technology, incumbent is responsible for integrating technology to enhance the learning environment by installing and maintaining computer hardware and software, providing technical support to site faculty, staff and resolving computer and network technology operational issues.

Definition

Under the supervision of the Director of Technology, the primary focus of this supervisory position is to implement and support networks and be tasked with support and build-outs including VoIP, wireless, video and other communication/collaboration related technologies.  Incumbent has the critical task of: evaluating, designing, implementing and maintaining the network infrastructure for the entire school district.

PROGRAM SECRETARY

Salary Range 46 (Entry Level $19.94/hr)

Under general supervision, to perform a variety of customer service, records maintenance, and administrative support tasks of above average difficulty; to perform varied secretarial work for professional staff and administrators; to use specialized software and standard office technology at a skilled level; to have a high level of public contact, and to perform related work as required.

Definition

Under the supervision of the assigned Administrator and under the professional direction of a licensed credentialed school nurse, a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) performs specialized physical health care services and procedures for medically fragile students.

Definition

To assist a librarian in the instruction, supervision, and training of individual or groups of students in library skills by performing a variety of instructional support activities; to perform a variety of duties involving circulation, reference, and record keeping activities within the library; and to act as a resource person regarding materials available. Employees in this classification receive close supervision within a framework of well-defined policies and procedures. Positions in this class assist in the day-to-day operations of a middle school library. This job class requires a high degree of positive contact with assigned students and staff. Employees in this job class coordinate and monitor the work of students and/or volunteer aides.

Definition

Under general supervision, to plan and implement learning and enrichment experiences for students; to provide for the physical care and safety of children’ to exercise lead supervision over assigned extended day program teachers and assistants; to maintain official documents and records; and to perform related work as assigned.

License required

-Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver’s License.

-Possession of a valid Children’ Center Permit issued by the state of California; or possession of a current and valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or completion of 12 college units in recreation, physical education, elementary education or early childhood development; or a teaching credential.
