CLASSIFIED VACANCIES

12 Months, 11 Months, and 10 Months per Year

All positions are open until filled unless a deadline is noted.

All classified positions require completion of a District application, including a copy of applicant’s high school diploma or equivalent, and appropriate testing.

TESTING INFORMATION

  • Most positions require testing.  Passing score is 70%.  At the end of each job description you will find the testing requirement for the position. Verification of high school diploma or GED or Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Testing is by appointment ONLY.  A district application (and typing certificate, if applicable) must be submitted before an appointment can be scheduled for testing.
  • Complete job descriptions are available at any job site or in the Human Resources Department.
  • Proof of citizenship or legal status will be required upon offer of employment.

Classified employees are represented by the California School Employees Association (CSEA) and may be eligible to participate in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS)

PARA-EDUCATOR II –  LEAD TEACHER/ANNEX

Salary Range 43-46 (Entry Level $20.61/hr-$21.50/hr)

  • 1 position – 8 hrs/day, M-F 7-8:30am and 11:30am-6pm (Sunnybrae School)
Definition

Under general supervision, to plan and implement learning and enrichment experiences

for students; to provide for the physical care and safety of children’ to exercise lead supervision over assigned extended day program teachers and assistants; to maintain official documents and records; and to perform related work as assigned.

License required

-Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver’s License.

-Possession of a valid Children’ Center Permit issued by the state of California; or possession of a current and valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or completion of 12 college units in recreation, physical education, elementary education for early childhood development; or a teaching credential. Possession of a valid First Aid and CPR certification

PROGRAM SECRETARY

Salary Range 46 (Entry Level $21.57/hr)

Definition

Under general supervision, to perform a variety of customer service, records maintenance, and administrative support tasks of above average difficulty; to perform varied secretarial work for professional staff and administrators; to use specialized software and standard office technology at a skilled level; to have a high level of public contact, and to perform related work as required.  Assisting nurses at school sites.

FOOD PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Salary Range 45 (Entry Level $19.77/hr)

Definition

Under direction, to perform skilled large quantity cooking and baking; to guide, train, monitor, and correct the work of staff in food preparation, packaging and delivery; to operate a school site nutrition service program; and to do other related work as directed.

Under general supervision, to assist teacher in planning, supervision, curriculum development and classroom arrangement, organization and maintenance; to provide instructional support and learning enrichment, using developmentally appropriate practices and materials; to monitor child safety, perform housekeeping functions and assist in the physical care and feeding of children; and to perform related work as required.  **CPR/First Aid

Definition

Under supervision, to monitor student behavior on an elementary or middle school campus; to monitor students boarding and disembarking from school buses; to monitor student behavior on the playground and in a cafeteria; to enforce school rules; and to perform related work as required.

Definition

Under general supervision, to provide specialized instructional, behavioral, physical, and medical assistance to exceptional students with severe handicaps; to operate a specialized learning center for special needs students; to provide instructional record keeping support; to perform routine clerical duties; and to perform related work as required. Assist student in toileting and personal hygiene, change soiled clothing, and remind student to use bathroom.  CPR and First Aid required.
