All classified positions require completion of a District application, including a copy of applicant’s high school diploma or equivalent, and appropriate testing.

TESTING INFORMATION

  • Most positions require testing.  Passing score is 70%.  At the end of each job description you will find the testing requirement for the position. Verification of high school diploma or GED or Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Testing is by appointment ONLY.  A district application (and typing certificate, if applicable) must be submitted before an appointment can be scheduled for testing.
  • Complete job descriptions are available at any job site or in the Human Resources Department.
  • Proof of citizenship or legal status will be required upon offer of employment.

Classified employees are represented by the California School Employees Association (CSEA) and may be eligible to participate in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS)

ASSISTANT TO THE SUPERINTENDENT (CONFIDENTIAL)

Salary Range $38.45/hr

Definition

Under direction of the District Superintendent, performs a variety of highly responsible and confidential secretarial and administrative support services for the District Superintendent and Board of Trustees.  Employees in this classification receive limited supervision within a broad framework of policies and procedures.  This job class is highly visible and requires discretion, initiative, and sound judgment as well as proven ability to perform the needed executive secretarial support services.  This is a position designated in the collective bargaining law.

BUILDING SERVICES FOREMAN

Salary Range 58 (Entry Level $25.24/hr)

  • 1 position - 8 hrs/day, 2:30-11pm (Maintenance Department)

Definition

Under general supervision, to serve as a District-wide technical resource for custodial services; to train, guide, monitor, correct, and inspect the work of custodial personnel; to travel to district work sites to inspect work in progress and upon completion; to prepare inspection reports; and to do related work as required.

Definition

Under direction, to perform journey-level work in a building trade designated by the District; to perform skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled work in other building trades, as assigned; and to perform related work as required.

Definition

Under the supervision of the Director of Technology, incumbent is responsible for integrating technology to enhance the learning environment by installing and maintaining computer hardware and software, providing technical support to site faculty, staff and resolving computer and network technology operational issues.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • *BA or BS in computer science, information systems or equivalent computer science  major (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)

Definition

Under the supervision of the Director of Technology, the primary focus of this supervisory position is to implement and support networks and be tasked with support and build-outs including VoIP, wireless, video and other communication/collaboration related technologies.  Incumbent has the critical task of: evaluating, designing, implementing and maintaining the network infrastructure for the entire school district.
