All classified positions require completion of a District application, including a copy of applicant’s high school diploma or equivalent, and appropriate testing.

TESTING INFORMATION

  • Most positions require testing.  Passing score is 70%.  At the end of each job description you will find the testing requirement for the position. Verification of high school diploma or GED or Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Testing is by appointment ONLY.  A district application (and typing certificate, if applicable) must be submitted before an appointment can be scheduled for testing.
  • Complete job descriptions are available at any job site or in the Human Resources Department.
  • Proof of citizenship or legal status will be required upon offer of employment.

Classified employees are represented by the California School Employees Association (CSEA) and may be eligible to participate in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS)

DATA SYSTEMS ANALYST

Salary Range 66 (Entry Level $36.16/hr)

Definition

Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Assessment, Research and Evaluation Services, incumbent is responsible for entering, analyzing and reconciling data within district systems (e.g. Student Information System), county systems and state information systems. Incumbent will coordinate with school site officials and various departments to verify district data is accurate and current.

  • **BA in information systems, data processing, business administration or related field.
  • **3+ years experience with the collection, processing analysis, formatting and reporting of computerized data in a K-12 educational setting
  • **2-5 years of experience using SQL for querying and data manipulation

FINANCIAL FACILITIES ANALYST

Salary Range 60 (Entry Level $31.21/hr)

  • 1 position – 8 hrs/day (District Office)

Definition

Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Financial Facilities Analyst performs responsible technical and professional fiscal accounting and auditing functions for the District’s Measure L and other Facilities related accounts and other financial records; to ensure that District financial statements, reports, and records are accurate.  Employees in this classification receive limited supervision within a broad framework of standard policies and procedures.  This position is responsible for exercising independent judgement and decision-making regarding standard accounting procedures for the District.

  • **BA in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent to a College degree in accounting or related fields

PARA-EDUCATOR I – PRESCHOOL

Salary Range 35 – (Entry Level $16.82/hr)

Definition

Under general supervision, to assist teacher in planning, supervision, curriculum development and classroom arrangement, organization and maintenance; to provide instructional support and learning enrichment, using developmentally appropriate practices and materials; to monitor child safety, perform housekeeping functions, and assist in the physical care and feeding of children; and to perform related work as required.

PROGRAM SECRETARY

administrative support tasks of above average difficulty; to perform varied secretarial work for

professional staff and administrators; to use specialized software and standard office technology at a

RECEPTIONIST / OFFICE ASSISTANT

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Salary Range 79 (Entry Level $49.83/hr)

  • 1 position – 8 hrs/day (District Office, Technology Department)

Definition

Under the supervision of the Director of Technology, this position is responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. Incumbent ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to best practices and industry standards.

Education and Experience:

  • **BA or BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent computer science major (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)
  • **5+ years experience in Systems Administration
  • **3+ years experience with computer/server hardware and software
  • **Industry Standard Server Administration, Virtualization certifications

Definition

Under direction, to serve as the administrative secretary to the school principal, to lead the office support team in the coordination of service flow, communication, and processes in a school office; to provide a wide range of information to students, staff, parents, and the public; to maintain varied administrative and student records and prepare reports; to relieve the administrator of responsible administrative detail; to administer first aid; and to perform related work as required.  Spanish speaker desirable

Definition

Employees in the classification receive close supervision within a framework of well-defined policies and procedures. Positions in the class assist in the day-to-day operations of a middle school library. This job class requires a high degree of positive contact with assigned students and staff. Definition

Under general supervision, oversee daily site kitchen operations for the Child Nutrition Programs at an elementary school setting.  Participate in the preparation, cooking/heating and serving of hot and cold menu items to students and staff at an assigned elementary school site kitchen including but not limited to summer school and after school programs.  Maintain the kitchen and serving areas in a safe, clean and orderly condition; requisition, receive and store food and supplies; train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned staff and/or students; and to do related work as required.
