All classified positions require completion of a District application, including a copy of applicant’s high school diploma or equivalent, and appropriate testing.

TESTING INFORMATION

  • Most positions require testing.  Passing score is 70%.  At the end of each job description you will find the testing requirement for the position. Verification of high school diploma or GED or Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Testing is by appointment ONLY.  A district application (and typing certificate, if applicable) must be submitted before an appointment can be scheduled for testing.
  • Complete job descriptions are available at any job site or in the Human Resources Department.
  • Proof of citizenship or legal status will be required upon offer of employment.

Classified employees are represented by the California School Employees Association (CSEA) and may be eligible to participate in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS)

senior ACCOUNTANT

Salary Range 67 (Entry Level $40.72/hr)

  • 1 Position – 7.5 hrs/day (District Office – Business Dept)

Definition

Under limited supervision from the Controller, to perform technical/professional accounting and auditing duties in the maintenance of all district funds and other financial records to ensure that district financial statements, reports, and records are accurate. To provide leadership and coordinate the tasks of the fiscal services staff including accounting, payroll, employee benefits, budget preparation and monitoring, and accounts receivable and payable. To assist the Controller with regular financial and payroll systems management tasks as well as work with software vendors on special systems projects.

  • **AA degree with accounting and/or data processing emphasis and at least 5 years of experience in school finance.

CUSTODIAN – NIGHT

Salary Range 46 (Entry Level $22.65/hr)

Definition

Under supervision, to keep assigned buildings, classrooms, and office spaces clean and orderly; to perform custodial tasks in the care of floors, furniture, walls, and equipment; to perform minor building and grounds maintenance and general gardening work, to operate small power custodial and grounds equipment; and to perform related work as required.

FINANCIAL FACILITIES ANALYST

Salary Range 60 (Entry Level $32.15/hr)

  • 1 position – 8 hrs/day (District Office)

Definition

Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Financial Facilities Analyst performs responsible technical and professional fiscal accounting and auditing functions for the District’s Measure L and other Facilities related accounts and other financial records; to ensure that District financial statements, reports, and records are accurate. Employees in this classification receive limited supervision within a broad framework of standard policies and procedures. This position is responsible for exercising independent judgement and decision-making regarding standard accounting procedures for the District.

  • **BA in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent to a College Degree in accounting or related fields
  • **5+ years of work experience related to Facilities modernization and public school construction accounting practices and procedures.
  • **possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver’s License

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ANALYST

Salary Range 72 (Entry Level $43.20/hr)

  • 2 Positions – 8 hrs/day (District Office) 

Definition

Under the supervision of the System Administrator, this position is responsible for technical and analytical duties in the operation of the organization, client/server and computer systems and networks. The duties include work in the areas of user and system requirements and analysis, applications development and maintenance, computer system support, network maintenance and data/database analysis/administration.

  • **BA or BS in Computer Science. Engineering or equivalent computer science major.
  • **3+ years experience in Systems integration/management, computer/server hardware and software

OFFICE ASSISTANT

Salary Range 42 (Entry Level $21.90)

DEFINITION

Under supervision, to perform a variety of clerical work of moderate difficulty;  to operate a typewriter and/or microcomputer at a working level; to have a high level of public contact; and to perform related work as required.

Under general supervision, to drive a District vehicle in the pickup and delivery of equipment, furniture, building materials, parts, supplies and other items to school sites, District and public offices, and suppliers; and to perform related work as required.

Under the supervision of the assigned Administrator and under the professional direction of a licensed credentialed school nurse, a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) performs specialized physical health care services and procedures for medically fragile students.

Under general supervision, to learn and perform skilled food production work in the central kitchen to prepare and package food for distribution to satellite kitchens; to learn and perform skilled work in a satellite kitchen to heat food, set up serving areas, serve and sell food; to clean kitchen utensils, equipment and work surfaces; and do other related work as required.

SITE KITCHEN OPERATOR-ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Definition

Under general supervision, oversee daily site kitchen operations for the Child Nutrition Programs at an elementary school setting.  Participate in the preparation, cooking/heating and serving of hot and cold menu items to students and staff at an assigned elementary school site kitchen including but not limited to summer school and after school programs.  Maintain the kitchen and serving areas in a safe, clean and orderly condition; requisition, receive and store food and supplies; train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned staff and/or students; and to do related work as required.
