All classified positions require completion of a District application, including a copy of applicant’s high school diploma or equivalent, and appropriate testing.

TESTING INFORMATION

  • Most positions require testing.  Passing score is 70%.  At the end of each job description you will find the testing requirement for the position. Verification of high school diploma or GED or Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Testing is by appointment ONLY.  A district application (and typing certificate, if applicable) must be submitted before an appointment can be scheduled for testing.
  • Complete job descriptions are available at any job site or in the Human Resources Department.
  • Proof of citizenship or legal status will be required upon offer of employment.

Classified employees are represented by the California School Employees Association (CSEA) and may be eligible to participate in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS)

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – SCHOOL

Salary Range 50 (Entry Level $23.84/hr)

Definition

Under direction, to serve as the administrative secretary to the school principal, to lead the office support team in the coordination of service flow, communication, and processes in a school office; to provide a wide range of information to students, staff, parents, and the public; to maintain varied administrative and student records and prepare reports; to relieve the administrator of responsible administrative detail; to administer first aid; and to perform related work as required.  **Spanish Speaker Desirable

FINANCIAL FACILITIES ANALYST

Salary Range 60 (Entry Level $28.70/hr)

1 position – 8 hrs/day (Facilities Department)

Definition

Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Financial Facilities Analyst performs responsible technical and professional fiscal accounting and auditing functions for the District’s Measure L and other Facilities related accounts and other financial records; to ensure that District financial statements, reports, and records are accurate.  Employees in this classification receive limited supervision within a broad framework of standard policies and procedures.  This position is responsible for exercising independent judgment and decision-making regarding standard accounting procedures for the District.

PARA-EDUCATOR II – LEAD TEACHER/ANNEX

Salary Range 43-46 (Entry Level $20.61/hr-$21.50/hr)

  • 1 position - 5.3 hrs/day, M,T,Th,F 1-6pm, W 11:30am-6pm (College Park School)

DEFINITION

Under general supervision, to plan and implement learning and enrichment experiences for students; to provide for the physical care and safety of children’ to exercise lead supervision over assigned extended day program teachers and assistants; to maintain official documents and records; and to perform related work as assigned.

License required

-Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver’s License.

-Possession of a valid Children’ Center Permit issued by the state of California; or possession of a current and valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or completion of 12 college units in recreation, physical education, elementary education or early childhood development; or a teaching credential.

-Possession of a valid First Aid and CPR certification.

PERSONNEL ASSISTANT

Salary Range 50 (Entry Level $23.84/hr)

Definition

Under general supervision, to perform specialized human resources administrative support work of above average difficulty in an automated environment; to have a high level of contact with District staff, applicants, and members of the business community, and to perform related work as required.

Definition

Under general supervision, to learn and perform skilled food production work in the central kitchen to prepare and package food for distribution to satellite kitchens; to learn and perform skilled work in a satellite kitchen to heat food, set up serving areas, serve and sell food; to clean kitchen utensils, equipment and work surfaces; and do other related work as required.

Definition

Under supervision, to assist teachers in classroom operations; to assist teachers in instruction and the reinforcement of instruction of students individually and in small groups in accordance with instructions; to provide instructional record keeping support; to translate and interpret oral and written communication between parents, students and staff; to perform routine clerical duties and to perform related work as required.
