All classified positions require completion of a District application, including a copy of applicant’s high school diploma or equivalent, and appropriate testing.

TESTING INFORMATION

  • Most positions require testing.  Passing score is 70%.  At the end of each job description you will find the testing requirement for the position. Verification of high school diploma or GED or Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Testing is by appointment ONLY.  A district application (and typing certificate, if applicable) must be submitted before an appointment can be scheduled for testing.
  • Complete job descriptions are available at any job site or in the Human Resources Department.
  • Proof of citizenship or legal status will be required upon offer of employment.

Classified employees are represented by the California School Employees Association (CSEA) and may be eligible to participate in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS)

ACCOUNTANT

Salary Range 58 (Entry Level $31.65/hr)

  • 1 Position – 7.5 hrs/day (District Office – Facilities)

Definition

To perform responsible technical/professional accounting and auditing duties in the maintenance of District categorical program accounts and other financial records to ensure that District financial statements, reports and records are accurate. Employees in this classification receive limited supervision within a broad framework of standard policies and procedures. This job class is responsible for exercising independent judgement and decision-making skills regarding standard accounting procedures for the District.

CUSTODIAN – NIGHT

Salary Range 46 (Entry Level $21.99/hr)

Definition

Under supervision, to keep assigned buildings, classrooms, and office spaces clean and orderly; to perform custodial tasks in the care of floors, furniture, walls, and equipment; to perform minor building and grounds maintenance and general gardening work, to operate small power custodial and grounds equipment; and to perform related work as required.

DATA SYSTEMS ANALYST

Salary Range 66 (Entry Level $36.16/hr)

  • 1 Position - 8 hrs/day (District Office - Ed. Services)

Definition

Under the supervision of the Director of Technology, incumbent is responsible for entering, analyzing and reconciling data within district systems (e.g. Student Information System), county systems and state information systems. Incumbent will coordinate with school site officials and various departments to verify district data is accurate and current.

  • **BA in information systems, data processing, business administration or related field.
  • **3+ years of experience with the collection, processing, analysis, formatting and reporting of computerized data in a K-12 educational setting.
  • **2-5 years of experience using SQL for querying and data manipulation.

 

GROUNDSKEEPER

Salary Range 46 (Entry Level $21.99/hr, moves after 1 year to Sr. Groundskeeper Range 47)

  • 1 position – 8 hrs/day (Maintenance & Operations)

Definition

Under supervision, to perform varied landscape, irrigation and hardscape maintenance and construction work; to operate powered grounds equipment, such as edgers, push mowers, small riding mowers, trucks, and trailers; to lean to operate large gang mowers, tractors and tractor attachments, and to perform related work as required.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ANALYST

Salary Range 72 (Entry Level $41.94/hr)

  • 2 positions – 8 hrs/day (District Office) 

Definition

Under the supervision of the System Administrator, this position is responsible for technical and analytical duties in the operation of the organization, client/server and computer systems and networks. The duties include work in the areas of user and system requirements and analysis, applications development and maintenance, computer system support, network maintenance and data/database analysis/administration.

  • **BA or BS in Computer Science. Engineering or equivalent computer science major.
  • **3+ years experience in Systems integration/management, computer/server hardware and software
  • **Industry Standard Server Administration, Virtualization certifications

PERSONNEL ASSISTANT

Salary Range 50 (Entry Level $25.92)

Definition

Under general supervision, to perform specialized human resources administrative support work of above average difficulty in an automated environment; to have a high level of contact with District staff, applicants, and members of the business community and to perform related work as required.

PRESCHOOL TEACHER

Definition

Under general supervision of the Principal on Special Assignment, to plan and implement high quality preschool learning and enrichment experiences for the preschool aged children in a safe and welcoming learning environment; exercise lead supervision over assigned assistants; maintain official documents and records; assess and guide each child’s learning; communicate with parents: participate in professional development activities; articulate and collaborate with kindergarten teachers; and to perform related work as assigned.

Salary Range 46 (Entry Level $23.45/hr)

Under general supervision, to perform a variety of customer service, records maintenance, and administrative support tasks of above average difficulty; to perform varied secretarial work for professional staff and administrators; to use specialized software and standard office technology at a skilled level; to have a high level of public contact; and to perform related work as required.

UTILITY WORKER

Definition

Definition

Definition

Under general supervision, oversee daily site kitchen operations for the Child Nutrition Programs at an elementary school setting.  Participate in the preparation, cooking/heating and serving of hot and cold menu items to students and staff at an assigned elementary school site kitchen including but not limited to summer school and after school programs.  Maintain the kitchen and serving areas in a safe, clean and orderly condition; requisition, receive and store food and supplies; train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned staff and/or students; and to do related work as required.
