All classified positions require completion of a District application, including a copy of applicant’s high school diploma or equivalent, and appropriate testing.

TESTING INFORMATION

  • Most positions require testing.  Passing score is 70%.  At the end of each job description you will find the testing requirement for the position. Verification of high school diploma or GED or Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Testing is by appointment ONLY.  A district application (and typing certificate, if applicable) must be submitted before an appointment can be scheduled for testing.
  • Complete job descriptions are available at any job site or in the Human Resources Department.
  • Proof of citizenship or legal status will be required upon offer of employment.

Classified employees are represented by the California School Employees Association (CSEA) and may be eligible to participate in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS)

DEFINITION

Under direction, to serve as the administrative secretary to the school principal, to lead the office support team in the coordination of service flow, communication, and processes in a school office; to provide a wide range of information to students, staff, parents, and the public; to maintain varied administrative and student records and prepare reports; to relieve the administrator of responsible administrative detail; to administer first aid; and to perform related work as required.  Spanish speaker desirable.

SCHOOL OPERATIONS TEAM LEADER

Salary Range 48 (Entry Level $21.27/hr)

Definition

Under general supervision, to coordinate daily school cleaning, repair, activity ser-up, safety inspections, and security activities with the site principal, to keep buildings, grounds, and office space clean and orderly; to perform custodial, storekeeping, and light grounds and building maintenance tasks in the service of a school; to lead a small crew of custodians; and to perform related work as required.

Definition

Definition

Under general supervision, oversee daily site kitchen operations for the Child Nutrition Programs at an elementary school setting.  Participate in the preparation, cooking/heating and serving of hot and cold menu items to students and staff at an assigned elementary school site kitchen including but not limited to summer school and after school programs.  Maintain the kitchen and serving areas in a safe, clean and orderly condition; requisition, receive and store food and supplies; train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned staff and/or students; and to do related work as required.
