CUPCCAA (informal bidding)

The San Mateo-Foster City School District has elected to become subject to the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA).  The District invites licensed contractors and vendors to submit the name of their firm for inclusion on the San Mateo-Foster City School District’s CUPCCAA List for the period beginning November 1, 2020 and ending December 31, 2021.

  • Public projects of sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) or less may be performed by the employees of a public agency by force account, by negotiated contract, or by purchase order.
  • Public projects of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) If all bids received are in excess of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000), (c) the governing body of the public agency may, by adoption of a resolution by a four-fifths vote, award the contract, at two hundred twelve thousand five hundred dollars ($212,500) or less, to the lowest responsible bidder, if it determines the cost estimate of the public agency was reasonable. per Public Contract Code 22032 and Public Contract Code 22034
